If you’ve ever wondered how your salary compares to the average American well now you can. Because a list of the average salary in 2024 has come out this report is done by USA Today Blueprint they broke down the average salaries in the United States in 2024. The way they came up with the list as they looked at data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the U.S. Census Bureau. Then they got the list and divided that by age, race, gender, occupation, state, and educational background. The average salary in the United States in 2024 is $59,384.
The report also found that the highest average earners are between 35 and 44. Additionally, Mississippi is the lowest-earning state with an average income of $48,048. Massachusetts is the highest-earning state with an average income of $86,840. They also looked at occupations that have the highest salary and they say that cardiologists are the highest earners making $421,330 on average this year. I know you want to know the occupation that makes the least amount of money. Well, that is shampooers as they only make $27,870 a year in 2024.
What The Average Salary In Florida Is
The average salary in Florida for 2024 is $64,168. That ranks the state ninth overall. That salary is $4,784 then it was the year before. Additionally, in 2020 The average salary in Florida was only $53,716. And just four years it’s jumped almost $11,000 here in the state of Florida.
The study also released that the average household in the United States earn $74,755. Secondly, a four person family earned the most combined income making $113,919.
I didn’t see the average salary of someone who works in radio on this list. It is really interesting to see what the average salary is for other occupations, and other states in the United States. Looks like Florida is in a really good position being in the top 10 of all of the states. And if you’re a cardiologist, you obviously are doing well for yourself.

The traditional bachelor’s degree just isn’t for everyone. In fact, there are a big group of people who opt to skip the traditional college route and still make very good money. There are plenty of jobs out there that don’t requite a four-year bachelor’s degree but still make $100K or more per year. No, it’s not too good to be true. So, how do you tailer for resume? “When deciding what to include in your resume, choose actionable items that would capture an employer’s interest,” they suggest. “Along with including qualitative results in your work experience section, you can also add in some quantifiable data.” They also say that numbers and statistics and numbers look good on a resume, so include those.
FlexJobs.com suggests to “research companies, rather than jobs.” They say to “pursue companies that mirror your values to narrow your search, and to, “seek out organizations with a strong culture fit and a mission that aligns with yours.” That’s a great tip so that you’re finding a company with the same values and ethics that you possess. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to look for actual jobs on search sites such as FlexJobs.com and Indeed.com, too. Keep an eye out for opening at your desired company that pop up.
