Where can you find snow in Tampa? At the Florida Aquarium for Snow Days.
Snow Days are back at The Florida Aquarium! Yes, real snow is in Florida. Grab your gloves or mittens and head to The Florida Aquarium.
A great place to entertain the kids on the weekend or during the last week of the year. They have extended their hours this year and will run select dates for winter festivities and hands-on snow experiences! Some of the activities include a snow maze, snowball toss, snow painting, live entertainment and more. Snow Days is free for members and included with general admission.
Some of the activities your kids can experience is a snow maze, a snowball toss, snow painting, snowball cornhole, a rooftop dance party and ice skating performances.
In addition to snow days, the Florida Aquarium is hosting a sensory-friendly Snow Day. Happening on Thursday, December 21 at 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM, lights and sounds will be adapted accordingly throughout the event for individuals with sensory differences. Tickets for the event are $10 per guest and free for members.
Snow Days will be open on December 24 and December 25th from 9:30am – 5pm.
Daily from Dec 26 – 30 from 9:30 – 7pm
December 31st from 9;30am – 5pm
Volunteer Opportunities
Snow Days is also looking for volunteers. The volunteer opportunities are 4-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from Nov. 25 – Dec. 24, running from 9 AM – 5PM as well as from Dec. 26 – 31, with shifts from 9 AM – 8 PM. Special event nights are scheduled for Dec. 3, Dec. 21 and Dec. 22.
This volunteer opportunity is open to individuals 8 years of age and older. Volunteers under 16 will need a parent or guardian volunteer alongside them for the entire 4-hour shift. CLICK HERE For more information and to register for a shift.
