Two Florida Cities Rank In Top 10 Of The Best Places To Live
Two Florida cities rank in Top 10 of the best places to live in the U.S. The report comes from U.S. News & World Report. The list is the 150 biggest metro areas in the U.S. They look at housing affordability, quality of life, growth and safety to come up with the list. This list is for 2023-2024.
According to the U.S. News and World Report website they tell us why the do the report. It says, “U.S. News & World Report’s Best Places to Live rankings are intended to help readers make the most informed decision when choosing where to settle down. Metro areas in the rankings are evaluated using data from sources including the U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI, the U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. News’ own internal resources.”
Of the 150 biggest metro areas in the U.S. two Florida cities rank in the Top 10 of the best places to live. Sarasota comes in at #5 and Naples comes in at #6. Tampa is in the Top 25 coming in at #24. Here is what they say about Tampa, “Residents of the Tampa Bay area enjoy both a laid-back beach lifestyle and the amenities of a large metropolitan area, including professional sports teams, museums, and an array of entertainment and dining options.”
The only other city near Tampa on the list is Lakeland and it came in at #105.

Located only 25 miles apart in central North Carolina. The report says, “This tri-city region (known as the Triangle) is luring new residents every day with strong job growth and high quality of life.”
