Important Phone Call Changed Corey Kent’s Life
An important phone call changed Corey Kent’s life. He told us all about it when he called into the show. This was our first time talking to Corey. His single “Wild As Her” is climbing up the charts and is closing in on being a top 10 song. His first radio single.
About Corey
Corey started his musical career at an early age. Taking the stage at age 11 as the lead singer for a touring Western Swing band, Corey hit early career milestones opening for legendary acts like Roy Clark and The Oak Ridge Boys.
A few years later, he would be booking gigs around his hometown of Bixby, OK and in 2014 he auditioned for Season 8 of The Voice. He was a member of Team Blake and was in the top 3 until being eliminated.
He started releasing songs and touring with his band and when he released Wild As Her, people started noticing, including RCA, his current record label.
Who Called Corey And Changed His Life
After The Voice, he went back to working at a pavement company and doing gigs with his band. One day, while sitting in his driveway he received a phone call and was invited to open for Jason Aldean’s tour. He knew from that point, his life was going to change. This was what he needed to start working his way to being a country superstar.
We will see him October 28th with Jason Aldean at the Mid-Florida Credit Union Amphitheater.
