Mary Honors Marine Husband And Desert Storm Veteran
Bryan is the military member we are honoring for Military Monday this week. His wife, Mary, honors her Marine husband and Desert Storm Veteran.
Bryan was a Marine and spent a year and a half in Desert Storm. He is now a nurse in the operating room at VA Hospital. Being a nurse in the VA hospital he has experienced a lot of the same things as the patients, so we wanted to know what it’s like for him as a nurse. Mary said, “He can relate stories about veterans coming up from anesthesia that will bring up I don’t want to say nightmares, but maybe trigger some of their PTSD…But him being there for them, he knows the right words to say, to calm them down and understand.”
We are thankful that Mary honors her Marine husband and Desert Storm Veteran for this week’s Military Monday.
