Florida’s Most Popular Thanksgiving Side Proves We Are Not Southern

The big debate is back in action now that it has been revealed that Floridians picked THIS as their favorite Thanksgiving side.

Not everyone feels this way but according to Google Trends the majority in Florida have picked Sweet Potato Casserole as the state’s most popular side to serve with their turkey. Its a very popular side in the south but all of the other southern states (Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina) picked Mac n’ Cheese. We just do not belong. The only other state who picked the same thing as us is home to many Country Music artists: Tennessee. At least we have that going for us. I have to admit, Sweet Potato Casserole IS my favorite side… I think I added to the study.

One more thing, Maine has side salad listed as their most popular Thanksgiving side… That’s either false or those folks are just really healthy.
