Brett Young Tells Us How He Broke His Rib
Brett Young called into our show this morning, because he is wanted to tell us how excited he is to be apart of the QYK Guitar Pull! He also tells us how he broke his rib.
Straight from the stage in Tampa last night, he is coming back November 12th to play our acoustic show for us. Brett has some of the most amazing ballads about relationships and to hear them stripped down is going to be amazing.
The crowd last night was signing back every lyric to his big hits including “In Case You Didn’t Know”, “Mercy”, “Sleep Without You” and more. The video screen was filled with homemade videos and pictures of Brett, his wife Taylor and their two daughters. Almost brought tears seeing the touching moments of their life off the stage.
How Did Brett Young Break His Rib
Last night at the show, Brett told us that he was recovering from a broken rib. We asked him about it this morning and he shared the story with all of us. He said he wished that he had a fun cool story to tell, but it wasn’t glamorous. He fell while taking out the trash. His foot slipped and he went down. The trash he was carrying was saved. In dad like fashion, he said he made sure to catch the trash instead of himself and ended up breaking his rib. Nothing they can do for you, it just has to heal on it’s own.
In 2017 he released his self-titled debut album. He now has seven number one songs. He is one of only four modern country artists to have their first seven singles go to #1. Brett not only writes incredibly romantic songs, he also wrote a children’s book. The book is called “Love You, Little Lady” inspired by his song “Lady”. He has written songs for movies like “Father Stu” and started a successful clothing line. Caliville, his clothing line is sold exclusively at Kohl’s. Young is wrapping up his tour with Sam Hunt and then will head out on his own “Dance With You Tour” in September.
