Florida Pizzerias Voted Among The Best
A couple of Florida pizzerias have been voted among the best in the world. So a website called Top 50 Pizza revealed their list of the 100 best pizzerias in the world. to Florida, pizzerias are in the top 100. A pizzeria in Miami named La Leggenda comes in 45th in the nation. The other Florida pizzeria that is on the list is also in Miami. This one is called ‘O Munaciello and it comes in 55th.
Here is what the site says about La Leggenda, “For true lovers of Neapolitan pizza there is the possibility of also trying calzone and fried pizza—high-quality drinking list, with a good selection of wines in particular. But the real strength of the place is the service, always smiling, ready to satisfy customer requests”.
Here is what the report says about ‘O Munaciello, “The restaurant recreates the atmosphere of a neighborhood pizzeria in the Neapolitan city, but above all the pizza is true Neapolitan – Soft dough, rolled out thinly, seasoned with authentic Italian ingredients, offers the palate the taste experience of an excellent traditional pizza.”
The Best Pizza In The World Other Than The Florida Pizzerias
The #1 overall pizza place in the world is Una Pizza Napoletana in New York. The only other pizzeria in the United States in the Top 10 is Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco.
I don’t like the fact that there weren’t any pizzerias from the Tampa Bay area on the list. It is really cool that two Miami pizzerias were recognized though.
Dave Portnoy from Barstool Sports even came to the Tampa Bay area to rate pizzerias in our area. I guess this list didn’t look at his ratings for them. Nevertheless, there are many great places here in the Tampa Bay area where you can get a slice of pizza.
