Clearwater Beach is up for “Best Beach In The South”. This is from USA Today’s 10Best awards. Actually there are 10 Florida beaches up for the best beach. Other than Clearwater, Venice Beach is the next closest beach to Tampa Bay.
Firstly, you can vote once per day until Monday, May 22 at noon ET. Secondly, the winning beach will be announced on Friday, June 2.

Even though it does raise the temperature, it’s so relaxing to run your hands and feet through that soft, pillowy sand. Tripstodiscover.com recently posted their rankings for the 16 prettiest white sand beaches in America. Florida had the most destinations on the list with 4 beaches. Behind them was Hawaii with three beaches on the list. Some of the Florida beaches on their list are pretty obvious, since they’ve been voted best beach in the country on numerous occasions. But we’ll get to that later…
2 of the beaches that made the list are right here in the Tampa Bay area. The other two are definitely worth the drive.
