Bull Shark Attacks Boy In Florida Keys. All happened during a snorkeling outing with his family at Looe Key Saturday afternoon. A 10 year old boy was attacked by what was believed to be an 8 Ft Bull Shark. The boy managed to stay on top of the water clutching to his swimming noodle, but the shark did extensive damage to his leg. There was a nurse nearby, thankfully, and the boy was taken to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Doctors had to remove the leg below the knee. His family talked about his powerful faith during and after the ordeal. His Uncle said, “He is now out of surgery and resting and has now had the news of what all took place.” Source NewsChannel8

Why Do Most People In Tampa Bay Area Quit Their Job? Fair question, right? Or maybe you’re “Quiet Quitting” and it’s a real thing too. Quiet quitting is just doing as little as possible at work, without getting fired. You’re seen the masses quitting their jobs (and maybe you’re one of them) since the pandemic. Last week we couldn’t get a table at one of our favorite restaurants. Not because of the crowd. They had empty tables, but not enough workers. Seems crazy. Look I’ve had my fair share of jobs through the years, working at about 20 different radio stations, and many times with a 2nd, and sometimes 3rd job through the years. With 3 kids, sometimes that’s just what you gotta do. I just don’t understand why or how people can quit their job in such big numbers. Where do they all go? Love to hear your thoughts on this one? Why Do Most People Quit?

  • Bad Boss

    30% say they bailed on the gig because of a bad boss or just plain krappy management. That’ll do it sometimes. Been there. Done that. Not always about the money.

  • Need More Money

    23% of quitters say they jumped ship because their salary was just too low. Some went on to part time jobs even temporarily, or back to school to make the life balance and economy thing work a little better down the road.

  • I Got A Better Offer

    21% got a better offer. When it comes to work, is there no better feeling than being wanted and valued with the backing of more cash? In some situations (I’ve seen this many times in radio, real estate, and more) people learn the true value of their work.

  • Wasting My Time Here

    17% of the quitters in the survey admitted they were focused on advancement, growth, and building an actual career at their workplace. Imagine that? When employers forget about the “growth and advancement” stuff, people tend to jump ship more often. Uh. Duh.

  • The Big R Word

    13% of the quitters said it was time to throw in the old “work” towel, and retire. Wonder what that will be like? LOL. Hopefully they al have a few pennies saved up as clearly social security will never be repaired, or enough. Is our economy is to the point where people need to work closer and beyond age 70 or 75, so they can retire and relax for the last 3 to 5 years?
