Ferg’s Sports Bar In St. Pete Buys A Pirate Ship. Mark Ferguson says, “I just think it’s a great conversation piece.” Haaa. Well, he ain’t wrong, is he? Not the first time Ferg’s has stepped up to the plate for local history. He bought that giant world globe thing at auction back in 2018. It was a landmark at  at World Liquors at Central Avenue and 16th Street for years.

Is Ferg’s new pirates ship float gonna be in the Gasparilla parade now? No. It will be on display for fun and photos at Ferg’s. They may rent it out for parties, or convert it to a stage. The Bonney-Read Crew put the float up for sale at $25,000. They had no buyers. But, after a little promotion and interest from Ferg’s –  8 offers popped up. Then Ferg’s had to pony up $33,000 before a bid deadline for a float no one wanted a few weeks ago.  Source TBT

Arrrg Get Yer Gasparilla Ticket Here Early. Or else, walk the plank? No. Pirate invasion Gasparilla Events start setting sail about 6 months away. The Ye Mystic Crew announced pre sale ticket sales are underway. These are some pretty cool reserved seats BTW.  Sorry, meant to say “first mate” seats. Don’t forget to check out the Scully Hospitality Experience. I call that the Luxury Pirate Invasion Aaaaarg!

    The Little Matey’s parade is scheduled for Jan. 21.  Great Family Alcohol Free event.  More than just the kid’s parade, they have a bicycle and pedestrian safety rodeo, preschooler’s stroll, a pirate air invasion and some cool Fireworks to cap off the event.

  • The Gasparilla Invasion Brunch Jan 28th

    Who knew Pirates did brunch? That sails on Jan. 28. You Scallywags will get brunch and live entertainment at the Tampa Convention Center in addition to the flotilla.

     Children’s Gasparilla Parade tickets for “reserved seating” start at $45 per person. Pricing for the Gasparilla Parade of Pirates starts at $60 per person.

    Early bird pricing for both events expire on Dec. 31.
