Chayce Beckham talks American Idol Experience Chayce called into the show today and we got to catch up with him on all sorts of things regarding music, life, American Idol and more.

We started out the conversation congratulating him on his number one song 23. It was his first single at country radio and his first to go number one. That is a big deal for a new country artist. He told us that he hasn’t really had a chance to celebrate his number one song yet, so we did that with him during our interview.

Chayce Beckham Talks American Idol

We were first introduced to Chayce Beckham on American Idol. He was a contestant on Season 19 and ended up winning it that season. After that, he was asked to join Luke Bryan out on his tour. Not too bad for an artist that is just getting started.

While talking with Chayce, you can tell he is very appreciative of the people who have helped him get this far in his career. He surrounds himself with good, hard working people and is thankful for all their work. He also mentioned the crew he worked with on American Idol. Like the vocal coaches and the other mentors that helped make him a better performer on stage. He said the show was good for him becoming more comfortable on stage.

Chayce just dropped a new album called Bad For Me. Besides his number one song 23, and his current single, Everything I Need, he also said to check out a couple other favorites. Songs that he loves are: Something Worth Holding On To and another song called, Addicted and Clean. He really hopes you enjoy this new album. He believes its an album you can listen all the way through starting with the very first song. He is happy the way this new album turned out.

Meeting Chayce Beckham For The First Time

I got a chance to meet Chayce a few years ago in Nashville for a Radio Seminar. During the week they introduce us to a bunch of new up and coming artists that week, and Chayce was the guy that stood out. I didn’t even know he was on Idol when I met him. The songs he sang for us, the confidence he had and the way he held his head high was very impressive when I met him. You can tell who is going to make it in this business and who isn’t, and I knew right away that Beckham had that special “it” factor. So, here we are two years later and celebrating his first number one.

Launa is part of Tampa Bay's Hometown Morning Krewe on 99.5 WQYK. She has been with the station for 7 years and joined J.R. and Kevin on the morning show 4 years ago. Since then, they have been nominated for not only a CMA but also an ACM. Launa has been in radio for the past 28 years and in the Tampa Bay market for 22 of those years. While working in radio, Launa has also served as an entertainment reporter on a local TV show and has hosted many charity events in the community. Using her popularity from QYK, Launa loves to help raise money for shelter animals and has been a volunteer at local shelters for years. Launa loves the community and writes articles on local news, entertainment, and events and highlights people who are shining in Tampa Bay that she knows others like her would also be interested in reading.

11 TV Shows You Can Stream With Country Stars: Reba, Lainey

When Hollywood actors went on strike for the first time in forty years last week, production on all sets stopped.  That affected all country stars acting in TV or movies.

The strike will not affect reality shows like American Idol and The Voice, full of country music royalty helping young budding stars’ dreams come true. Those shows will go on as scheduled, giving us all the chance to see Reba McEntire and Dan + Shay sitting in red chairs on The Voice as first-time coaches on the show.

According to the guidelines, SAG-AFTRA members cannot attend premieres, do interviews for completed work, go to awards shows, attend film festivals, or even promote projects on social media while the strike is in effect. They are also prohibited from attending conventions such as Comic-Con to promote any past or present work made under a SAG-AFTRA contract.

The strike will affect those country stars that have done a lot of acting in the past, including Tim McGraw, McEntire, Lainey Wilson, Randy Houser, and more.
