Tampa Bay Company Named As One Of The Best Places To Work
A new report has named a Tampa Bay Company as one of the best places to work in the United States. This comes from Glassdoor’s 16th annual Employees Choice awards. St. Petersburg based company Raymond James Financial came in #14 overall on the best places to work in the United States. The way that Glassdoor actually came up with the rankings is the base some solely on anonymous employee reviews. Those reviews have ratings that focus on key workplace attributes like environment, compensation culture, and work life balance. There are actually two categories in this report. One is large companies of more than 1,000 employees and small and medium companies that have less than 1,000 employees.
What Does Raymond James Financial Specialize In
Raymond James Financial is an independent investment bank and financial services company. Additionally, they provide financial services to individuals, corporations and municipalities. They also handle financial planning and investment banking. The company actually started in 1962 right here in St. Petersburg. Obviously we know the company has sponsored Raymond James Stadium in Tampa the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since it opened in 1998. When they bought the naming rights to the stadium in 1998 it was for $32.5 million for 13 years. Additionally, they have signed contract extensions in 2006 and 2016. Finally, the current naming rights deal on the stadium runs through the 2028 season.
Here is what glass door says about Raymond James Financial, “The company offers investment and financial planning services primarily through subsidiary Raymond James & Associates (RJA), which provides securities brokerage, investment banking, and financial advisory services in North America and Europe; and Raymond James Financial Services, which offers financial planning and brokerage services through independent contractors, as well as through alliances with community banks. Other divisions provide asset management, trust, and retail banking services. Raymond James Financial has approximately 2,300 offices worldwide.”
