People Reveal Their Most Searched Travel Experiences
There is a list of the most search, travel experiences in the world and some of them. You do not have to leave the United States for. Kuoni, which is a luxury vacation company, looked at Google data to find the most searched for rare travel experiences in the world. The way they determine the awareness of the experiences that is that they look at how often those experiences occur. The only experiences that are on this list occur twice a year or less. They actually looked at 210 countries to find the top 10.
The #1 overall rare travel experience in the world is right here in the United States. It is Manhattanhenge in New York City. So what is Manhattanhenge? Well, it is also known as the Manhattan solstice and it happens in May and July each year in New York City. This is when the sunset aligns perfectly between the streets of New York City giving viewers a perfect picture of the sun by the skyscrapers in NYC. There is also a sunrise version of this event that happens in December in January.
There is another rare event in the U.S. that has been one of the most searched travel experiences in the world. That would be the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Additionally, that event comes in #7 overall. In 2023 alone there were 546 hot air balloons that participated in the balloon fiesta. Finally, it is held in October every single year.

It’s time to close the chapter to 2023 and look forward to the next year. Luckily for us in Tampa, there’s a lot to be excited about in 2024. Be on the lookout for these new businesses and experiences in Tampa Bay next year.
Champa Bay seems to be growing and expanding more and more each year. So many new places and experiences popped up in 2023, and it was hard to keep track. We discovered a bunch of new restaurants, hotels, and adventures that opened up this past year. 2024 might be even better! We get to look forward to new restaurants and bars, roller coasters, and so many big acts playing Tampa venues (just to name a few). 2023 in review:
Tampa had a lot of growth in 2023, leaving us excited for what’s to come. This year we said “hello” to many new businesses and attractions including the tallest rooftop bar in Tampa, new restaurants with Michelin-star chefs, changes to our favorite theme park, and more. We also said “goodbye” to some of our favorite businesses and athletes who got traded to other teams (like Pat Maroon on the Tampa Bay Lightning and Ji-man Choi on the Rays).
