Florida Home To The Most Honest City In America
Florida is home to the most honest city in America. A poll asked if people found $1000 on the ground would they keep it or not. Firstly, the poll comes from a website called bestcasinosites.net where they ask people if they would keep $1000 if they found it on the ground. Additionally, overall 47% of people said they’d keep it. So, the most honest city in America according to the study is Jacksonville, Florida. Finally, the poll found that 62% of people from Jacksonville would handover the $1000 if they found it on the ground.
On the other end of the spectrum, the most dishonest city is a three way tie. Detroit, Memphis and New Orleans are tied for first. 62% of people that were polled said they would keep the money and only 38% say they would hand it over. Tampa is on the list and 52% of the people that were polled said they would turn the money over and 48% said they would keep it.
Kiera Miller, online slots and statistics expert at BestCasinoSites.net, in a statement, “The results certainly demonstrate an extremely interesting insight into whether Americans would or would not keep money found on the street, but I think this has raised a bigger question: do people know this is an offense? Whilst pocketing money on the street has parallels to winning the jackpot, it can be classed as theft and unfortunately, ‘finders keepers’ won’t hold up in a court of law.”
Why It’s Called Jacksonville
Jacksonville is the most populous city in Florida. Inside the city limits there are almost 950,000 people Jacksonville takes up all of Duval County. The city was founded in 1822. Jacksonville is named after Andrew Jackson, who was the seventh president of the United States. In 1822 Andrew Jackson was the military governor of the Florida territory, and that is why it is named after him.
