Kenny Chesney Kicks Off 2024 Tour At Raymond James In Tampa

2024  is going to be the year of the country concerts.  Kenny Chesney kicks off his 2024 tour at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.  He just announced the tour and that Tampa will be the first show.

Another huge show for our lineup in 2024.  Morgan Wallen is coming on July 11th and 12th.  Kane Brown has two shows May 31st and June 1st at Amalie Arena.  Now, we can add Kenny Chesney to the list.

Details Of Concert

Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker all at Raymond James Stadium on Saturday, April 20th.  Tickets will go on sale for the general public at 10am ET Friday November 17th at all Ticketmaster locations. If you follow Kenny on Instagram, you have been seeing a couple of posts including Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney, and Uncle Kracker.  The information just came out today that he was hitting the road with all three artists for his big stadium tour.

Chesney has recorded more than 20 albums including 32 number-one songs.   40 of his songs have made the Top 10, and he has won Entertainer of the Year 8 times.  He is called “The King of the Road” by The Wall Street Journal and sells out his stadium shows.   Kenny believes that if you can move people – then you’ve brought everything you have to give.  He also claims it is not the rush of performing that drives him, But the passion with which people respond to his music.

Why He Opens Up His Tour In Tampa

Kicking off his tours in Tampa is something that Kenny loves to do.  The last time he was here was 2021 and J.R. and Launa got a chance to talk with Kenny before the show.  We asked him why he loves kicking off his show in Tampa.  His favorite moment of his shows is the first note of the night.  The anticipation of the night builds up to so much, so when they hit the stage and finally get to play is the best part.

Launa is part of Tampa Bay's Hometown Morning Krewe on 99.5 WQYK. She has been with the station for 7 years and joined J.R. and Kevin on the morning show 4 years ago. Since then, they have been nominated for not only a CMA but also an ACM. Launa has been in radio for the past 28 years and in the Tampa Bay market for 22 of those years. While working in radio, Launa has also served as an entertainment reporter on a local TV show and has hosted many charity events in the community. Using her popularity from QYK, Launa loves to help raise money for shelter animals and has been a volunteer at local shelters for years. Launa loves the community and writes articles on local news, entertainment, and events and highlights people who are shining in Tampa Bay that she knows others like her would also be interested in reading.

Kenny Chesney is one country star who can fill a stadium in almost every U.S. city. Last week ( 3/23), he kicked off his “I Go Back Tour” with opener and fellow East Tennessee native Kelsea Ballerini.

Kenny commented on the tour on Instagram in part back when he announced it in November, “No Shoes Nation, I’m so excited to finally announce the #IGoBackTour 2023 with special guest Kelsea Ballerini. ‘I Go Back’ is a song about holding all those things that shaped you very close and keeping them alive any way you can. In 2023, I decided rather than just go repeat what we did on this summer’s stadium tour; I wanted to take this band and these songs to a lot of the cities we played on our way up, call it the I Go Back Tour, and do just that.”
