Florida City Named As One Of The Most Neighborly Cities In The U.S.
A Florida city has been named as one of the most neighborly cities in the United States. All of this is in honor of National Neighbor Day. Neighbor.com is the one who came up with the list of the most neighborly cities in the country. The way they come up with the list and the rankings is they use metrics ranging from volunteering to charitable giving to crime rates. The Florida city that is in the top 10 of most neighborly cities in the United States is Sarasota. Sarasota comes in #4 overall on the list.
Neighbor.com says about Sarasota, “At #4 we have Sarasota, Florida – a newcomer to the Most Neighborly Cities list! This picturesque seaside community has average temperatures of 72 degrees and 37 miles of shoreline. With year-round beach life calling many to The Sunshine State, Sarasota topped the list with the highest population change of all the top 25 cities – adding 3.4% new faces to the community between 2021 and 2022.”

When coming up with their list they also found that 94% of Americans will help their neighbors following a natural disaster. 63% say they’re likely to ask their neighbor for help if they need it. 90% of the people polled say they plan to participate in neighborhood events. And 85% of Americans are planning to stay in their current residence. With 45% of people saying that their house is their permanent house for the rest of their lives.
