Tigirlily Gold Reveals Most Starstruck Moment
Tigirlily Gold is our 2nd artist announced at this years QYK Guitar Pull. We spoke with them this morning and Tigirlily Gold reveals their most starstruck moment. The Girls were so fun to talk with. We learned so much about them. New to country radio, the sisters moved to Nashville and started working a weekly gig at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row bar.
Working their way through Nashville, they finally got a record deal and released their first single called Shoot Tequila. The song was inspired by Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush‘s duo Sugarland‘s song “Stuck Like Glue.”
They never went the TV route, like like Scotty McCreery did on American Idol because they felt it was so competitive. When J.R. asked who in the business has reached out to them they immediately said Ashely McBryde and Sugarland have really helped them out. Seems like they have a close relationship with both. Walker Hayes, who is on their label, has helped them and Miranda Lambert too.
Tigirlily Gold Reveals Their Most Starstruck Moment
A special night happened at the Grand Ole Opry. Also happened to be the same night Carrie Underwood was there. Luckily they did not have to follow her, they got to perform before she went on, but a very intimidating moment for the girls for sure. Carrie was very kind to the sisters and gave them great advise and complimented them on their music.
That wasn’t the most starstruck they have ever been though. That happened when they met Randy Travis. Cannot blame them, most of us would be nervous to meet someone like Randy Travis. But what an honor.
We are excited to have Tigirlily Gold on our show this year. Only females that will be on stage this year. Looking at past years, the females have knocked it out of the park. Excited to hear what the girls bring to the show. Either way, we do know there will be some tequila shots happening on stage during their song.
The new video for their song is amazing, check it out.
