WATCH: Baby Dolphin Rescued By Pasco Deputies
A baby dolphin was rescued by Pasco deputies after it was found alone and in distress. An off-duty officer was fishing when he noticed the dolphin. This all happened off the coast of Hudson. The off-duty officer called the Pasco County Sheriff’s MarOps unit. The unit rushed the dolphin to meet with members of the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium then transferred the baby dolphin to SeaWorld Rescue. The dolphin is showing signs of improvement and swimming on his own, but is still listed in critical condition.
