Video: Was Morgan Wallen Intoxicated and Unable to Stand
Was Morgan Wallen Intoxicated and Unable to Stand? As a die-hard fan of Morgan Wallen, it’s been tough to watch all the rumors and speculation surrounding his recent concert cancellations. What a mess. According to reports, Morgan cited a throat issue as the reason for bailing on his show in Oxford, Mississippi, but some fans aren’t buying it. One fan has even gone so far as to file a lawsuit against Morgan for breach of contract, claiming that they’re owed reimbursement for expenses incurred as a result of the cancellation. As someone who’s spent a lot of time and money supporting Morgan and his music, we can all understand the frustration that this fan must be feeling.
But the drama doesn’t stop there. Some fans of other artists, like Luke Combs and Taylor Swift, have taken issue with how Morgan has handled the situation. We’re thinking Morgan may deserve the benefit of the doubt, and that he’s just going through a tough time.
That being said, there is video evidence that seems to suggest that Morgan was under the influence at the time of the cancellation. A backstage video (see it here) has surfaced of a security guard claiming that Morgan was “falling down drunk” and had to be taken to the hospital. While US Weekly says the security company has since denied the guard’s account, it’s still a troubling piece of evidence for Morgan’s fans to reckon with.
It’s also worth noting that Morgan fell down (video here) on stage during a performance in Kentucky just days before the Oxford show. While there’s been no word on whether he sustained any injuries, some fans have speculated that he was stumbling before he fell. As a fan of Morgan’s music, I’m hoping that he’ll bounce back from this rough patch soon. It’s clear that he’s going through a tough time right now, and I think it’s important to support him through it. We hope he’s happy and healthy for our show here in Tampa May 6th.
