Is Florida one of the safest states in the U.S.? Wallethub did a study of the safest states and they ranked the states in five categories. Those categories are personal and residential safety, financial safety, road safety, workplace safety and emergency preparedness.
So, is Florida one the safest states in the U.S. according to this study? No, Florida is not. They actually are one the the bottom 10 states in safety. Florida ranks #44 overall and are only in the top 25 in one of the five categories. Florida ranked 25th in financial safety. The category were they ranked worst in is road safety where they ranked 46th.
So what states is the safest in the U.S.? It is Vermont and they rank in the top 10 of 4 of the 5 categories. They are #1 in workplace safety and #2 in personal and residential safety.

Tampa Is One Of The Best Cities For Halloween
Tampa is one the best cities for Halloween according to Wallethub. The way they came up with their list is they compared the 100 largest U.S. cities based on 22 key metrics. Some of those metrics are: costume stores per capita, average price per Halloween party ticket, Trick-Or-Treater friendliness, Halloween fun and Halloween weather.
Tampa came is #20 on their list. Tampa is 49th in trick-or-teater friendliness, 12th in Halloween fun and 9th for Halloween weather. Orlando was also in the Top 20 where they landed at #11 on the list.
