Hook A Hero’s First Responder Family Fun Day
Hook A Hero’s First Responder Family Fun Day is this Saturday. This local non-profit is run by first responders and volunteers. This is an amazing organization that provides a mental break for our hero’s.
Being a first responder is mentally challenging and stressful. Our first responders see things and get put into situations on a daily that you and I cannot even comprehend. Then they are expected to come home from work and business is as usual, not even having a chance to process what they have witnessed in the past 24 hours.
The group Hook A Hero helps with this. They provide mental health services and financial support and peer support to those hero’s and their families who serve and protect.

Hook A Hero Foundation is supporting First Responders this Saturday with a family fun day in Tampa
This Saturday, August 20 from 11-4 is a day to unwind, de-stress and have a fun day with your peers and family at The Franciscan Center, located at 3010 N Perry Ave, Tampa, FL 33603.
Tons of fun for the family including a huge 36ft double lane hero slide so bring the swimsuits.

This is just one of the many events that this foundation has done in our community. My fiancé’ Paul is a first responder and they invited him out on a weekend trip to turkey hunt. He said he had a great time and it was nice to hang with others who are first responders because they can relate so well to what each other is going through and it’s nice to just talk with others sometimes.
They really go out of their way to do fun outdoor events and give the first responders a mental break. That’s what this foundation is all about. This foundation also holds golf tournaments, fishing tournaments and other fun raisers to help support the first responders.
