National Anthem Singer Goes Viral For The Wrong Reasons
The National Anthem singer at MLB’s Home Run Derby goes viral and it’s for the wrong reasons. Conan Gray was the singer that performed the National Anthem before the Home Run Derby at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
He started his career by uploading vlogs, covers and original songs to YouTube, which eventually got him a record deal with Republic Records in 2018. A few weeks ago he performed at NBC’s Today Show. Performing the National Anthem isn’t easy and Conan’s performance didn’t go over well.

Conan Gray released his debut EP called Sunset Season in 2018. Two singles from that EP did very well for him and they are “Maniac” and “Heather”. His debut studio album named Kid Krow came out in 2020 and debuted at number five on the US Billboard 200, which made it the biggest US new artist debut of the year. He released his second studio album called Superache in 2022.
Conan was born in California, but moved to Texas right before he became a teenager. He says that Taylor Swift is his biggest musical influence and that he is the largest Swiftie.
Juan Soto of the Washington Nationals won the Home Run Derby at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Soto beat out Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners. Back-to-Back champion, Pete Alonso, of the New York Mets was beat out by Rodriguez in the second round. Alonso went to Jesuit and Plant High Schools in Tampa. He attended college at the University of Florida.
The All Star Game will be played at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday and Tampa Bay Rays pitcher, Shane McClanahan was named the starter pitcher for the American League. He is the second Rays player to start the All Star Game after David Price in 2010.
