Retired Pinellas And Hillsborough County Deputy Continues Service At Elementary School
A retired Pinellas And Hillsborough County Deputy continues her service at at local Elementary School. Libby is our first responder Friday and her daughter Suzanne told us all about her.
Libby retired from the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office after being a deputy there for 14 years. She now works at Southern Oaks Elementary School as a School Safety Officer. She has been doing that for 3 years. Her daughter says she is an amazing mom and is a great example of what a leader and mentor is.
Suzanne told us what is was like being the daughter of Sheriff’s deputy. She said she was strict, but she was fair. Suzanne told us what it was like being a kid and not having her mom at home while she was working. Suzanne said, “I didn’t really look at it too much, like, negatively, I guess, because I always figured she was the hero. So. she’d always be home.”
Libby has been married for 52 years and they love to go to Las Vegas, Biloxi and go on cruises. Launa wanted to know if they hit any big jackpots. Suzanne said, “She is very lucky, believe it or not. Luck follows her wherever she goes with the slots and the cards.”
Congrats to Libby as she receives $200.00 in VISA gift cards hooked up by Crown Buick GMC and Demesmin & Dover Law Firm.
