Polk County Man Wins $1 Million From A Scratch-Off Ticket
A Polk County man has won a $1 million prize from a Florida Lottery Scratch-off ticket. 43-year-old Jose Vences Maldonado found his lucky ticket in the 500X The Cash scratch-off game. The $50 game turned into a $1 million win.
Maldonado lives in Lake Alfred and purchased the ticket at the Wawa located at 334 Havendale Blvd. in Auburndale.
Maldonado chose to receive the prize as a lump-sum of $820,000. The store will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
