George Strait Approves Of Scotty McCreery’s New Music Video
Scotty McCreery’s brand new song, “Damn Strait”, is a tribute to country music legend, George Strait. Scotty has released the music video for the song and it has received approval from the King himself.
The video was filmed at Gruene Hall, which is in Gruene, Texas just outside of of San Antonio, and that is the place where George Strait started out. In the video, we see articles and old photos of Strait hanging around the venue, which are still there.
George Strait shared the music video on his Facebook page, so the King obviously approves of Scotty’s song and video.
Scotty says of the song, “I was writing songs left and right, we had the songs put on there, but for me, when I heard a song ‘Damn Strait,’ I immediately raised my hand and said, ‘Me, me, me.’ It’s such a cool song. It’s so cleverly written. And obviously I’m a massive George Strait fan. It just sounded so much like me”.
