Tampa Bay Rowdies tryouts 175 Ballers show up. Go you Rowdies. I sure wanted to try out. The Tampa Bay Rowdies coaches say they have 3 spots to fill for the upcoming season. These players could come from other USL Teams, or from right down the street in Ybor City. Actually players from all over the world show for tryouts like these.
Full disclosure. I am a season ticket holder. And, I like beer. And, I’m twice as old as the average player. So, not qualified.
Doesn’t mean I’m not stoked! Rowdies season opener is on March 13 and the our first home game is March 19th. The team is currently in preseason schedule with a few games under way. These are often with no fans as they involve a scrimmage atmosphere to benefit both teams. They do invite season ticket holder to a special pre season match for some extra Rowdies fun.
Who are these guys? Many Tampa Bay Rowdies tryouts players may be former college athletes, amateur or pro players. All we need is good feet! The Rowdies are Fast! Coaches are looking for talent. Some are cut players from other teams, or had old injuries that have healed up.
Over 170 players came out in the rain for their shot at Sunday's open tryouts, led by Rowdies coaching staff and players.
