Organizers Say ‘Gasparilla Is Absolutely A Go’ Later This Month

Organizers of Tampa’s Gasparilla have made a statement about this years event and it says, “Gasparilla is absolutely a go.” The 2021 parade didn’t take place, but the 2022 version will be happening.

The main Gasparilla parade will take place on January 29th with the Children’s parade happening on January 22.

Tampa Mayor, Jane Castor, said “We’re very excited about the possibility of bringing back our land, sea and air invasion for the city of Tampa and the entire Tampa Bay area.”

Peter Lackman, the Captain for Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, who are the hosts of the event, said, “Gasparilla is absolutely a go. Yes.We Arrrgh going to have Gasparilla…it’s time to get your pirate beard on and our good time on.”
