People who decorate earlier for Christmas are Ho Ho Happier. According to researchers from the Journal of Environmental Psychology, you may be a happier and friendlier person.
Makes sense, right? Psychologists say those decorations are nostalgic and remind ALL of us of happier and even simpler times. They also noted it helps boost your dopamine. For the record, at my house we use eggnog and bourbon for that.
Only downside to decorating too early is getting a tree that will make it through the holiday. Well, if it dies, you may get a little less happy. That’s why we go with the fake tree that lasts forever. My wife is already saying…get to work on those Christmas lights! Haaa. No, really, she is – so we can be happy.
