Will You Cross Bay Ferry Instead Of Driving The Howard Frankland?
Will you Cross Bay Ferry instead of driving The Howard Frankland? It looks cool, but is it gonna work for commuters? Cross Bay Ferry was barely saved last month by Pinellas County Commissioners. They extended it for four years even though they had complaints and funding issues.
Seems like a random schedule to me, but The Ferry will set sail again October 21st, and service between Tampa and St Pete will run for seven months. Leaves St Pete every Wednesday and Thursday at 4:45 PM, and 11AM on Saturday and Sunday. From Tampa 6:15 PM and 10:45 PM during the two weekdays, 6:15 PM and 7:30 PM Saturday and Sunday. Here’s the schedule and rates. $20 bucks round trip, not bad, right?
Does have a pretty cool run to Downtown, Riverwalk, Museums, Entertainment, and Breweries. It’s all about the timing. Still, wish they would stop and let us fish a little!
