Why You Should Love Iowa Football
Yes, Iowa football. The Iowa Hawkeyes are undefeated right and are the #2 team in the country, but it is something they do at the end of the first quarter of every home game that is truly special.
It is called the Iowa Wave. It’s where everyone in the stadium turns and faces the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, which overlooks the stadium and waves to patients and their families watching the game from the hospital.
The tradition only started in 2017, but has quickly become one of the best traditions in college football.
Check out the Iowa Wave during Iowa’s game against Penn State from over the weekend.
