Deputies looking for attacker on Pinellas Trail. We’ve all been on the trail, right? Seems safe enough most of the time, but every now and then, it’s rider beware. Two young people say they were riding at about 7:30 in the evening when attacked by a man who didn’t like the way they were riding the trail? Neither was seriously hurt other than bumps and bruises in the unprovoked attack. Reminder: Be Careful!

• Do not group text.

  Dispatchers can't receive those. Makes sense too because if others get involved in a conversation, the operator could get confused.

• Don’t add a space or dash in 911.

  Just text to 911 not 9-1-1 or 9 1 1.

• Don’t use an emoji.

  Share

  The system is text based. Dispatchers won't see the visual emojis were used to seeing now in graphic form on our cell phones.
