Another Tampa Bay Walmart closes for cleaning. Which location? Walmart made the announcement that another store in the Tampa Bay area will need to be shut down for a few days to sanitize the store.
Walmart let us know that they have temporarily closed the Bradenton store located at 6225 East State Road 64 today at 2 p.m. The company-initiated program will allow a third-party cleaning crew to thoroughly clean and sanitize the building.
The store will continue to be closed on Wednesday, September 1. Associates will have the opportunity to restock shelves and prepare the store to reopen on Thursday, September 2 at 6 a.m.
The official statement from Walmart reads:
“As an essential business and a member of the Bradenton, FL community, we understand the role we play in providing our customers with food, medicine and other essential items, especially at this time.”
“As you know, several areas across the country have begun seeing a renewed increase in positive COVID-19 cases, and we want to assist health officials working against the pandemic. In support of this effort, we have chosen to temporarily close our Bradenton, FL location at 6225 East State Road 64 today at 2 p.m. as part of a company-initiated program. This will allow extra time for a third-party specialist to further sanitize the store and will also give our associates additional time to restock shelves and prepare the store to once again serve the community. We plan to reopen the store to customers at 6 a.m. on Sept. 2.”
The statement went on to say that everything being done is for the well-being of associates and customers and is in guidance by the CDC and health experts.
