Tampa’s Columbia Restaurant Selling Custom Sangria Pitchers to Raise Money for Local Scholarship
Tampa‘s Columbia Restaurant is selling custom sangria pitchers to raise money for a local scholarship. Back in April, the Columbia Restaurant lost a member of the team when Kelly Fletcher was killed in a traffic crash on Easter Sunday. Kelly Fletcher was a beloved friend, family member, an important part of the team at Columbia, Ulele, and Goody Goody Burgers.
The Columbia Restaurant Group has since set up a scholarship fund in Kelly’s honor, the Chef Kelly Fletcher Endowed Scholarship at Hillsborough Community College. The scholarships helps students who want to start careers culinary and hospitality industry.
With a goal to raise $10,000, Tampa’s Columbia Restaurant is now selling custom-made sangria pitchers to raise money for the scholarship. Each pitcher goes for $100. You can see what they look like here:
The Gonzmart Family Foundation also plans on matching the $10,000 donation goal amount. The pitchers will be available for purchase from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Monday at 2217 E. 7th Ave. in Tampa.
