Would You Rent Your Clothes?
Selling used clothes got some of us through college. Am I right? You’d buy ’em, but would you rent used clothes?
We rent tuxedoes and Gowns don’t we? Well, I don’t look good in gowns but you get me. Think about all the stuff you have in your closet you haven’t worn in months.
I’d have to get all the dog hairs out of mine first.
This new study at Washington State found Gen Z’ers are much more willing to RENT clothes instead of buy them. They talked to over 350 adults who were around 25 to 30. And they still want their clothes to be fashionable. But they don’t necessarily need to own them.
It’s partly about money, but also sustainability. Young people tend to care more about recycling clothes and not wasting resources. When you include everything from shirts to socks, the average person buys 67 new pieces of clothing a year.
