Disney World Announced Plans For Their 50th Anniversary
Walt Disney World opened October 1, 1971 and this year marks the 50th anniversary of their opening. Disney announced details about what you can expect to see when you head to the parks this fall. Disney is calling it “The World’s Most Magical celebration” and it will begin on October 1st, their actual 50th anniversary.
At Magic Kingdom, there will be a new nighttime spectacular named “Disney Enchantment” where music, lightning, fireworks and project effects will be show on Cinderella’s Castle and go down to Main Street USA.
At EPCOT you will see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto and Chip ‘n’ Dale wearing new outfits to celebrate the 50th anniversary.
At Animal Kingdom there will be new daytime entertainment called “Disney KiteTails” where performers will fly windcatchers and kites as Disney songs play.
