First time ever. What a brilliant idea. Tampa Bay Buccaneers working on Summit for Women interested in careers in pro football. They have insight from all areas of the business of The NFL. Info from some of the heavy hitters like Coach Arians and assistant defensive line coach, Lori Locust.
Bucs co-owner Darcie Glazer Kassewitz statement says “The Buccaneers Women’s Summit for Careers in Football is committed to broadening the candidate pool for careers in the NFL.”
Working on gender equality and diversity in pro sports, that’s a good thing. The first class of 43 women are all currently working in college athletics. All ready to take it to the next level. More than just athletic trainers and coaches, there are opportunities in player personnel, management, scouting, research, and more.
