I often joke about “playing the gas market”. You know, filling up when prices are low, riding on fumes when they are high. Turns out, that’s not a bad idea. Haaa.
You’ve seen gas prices climbing all around us lately. Did you know prices can vary as much s .70 cents per gallon in our area? What!!!??? This guy at Nerd Wallet says we can seek out the cheapest gas, and maybe save close to $9 bucks per fill up, or near $220 bucks a year. That’s per car? Here are the top 6 ways to save on fuel costs.
1. Use a gas price app – Gas Buddy is a good one.
3. Buy from a warehouse club – I do this too when prices spike. Sam’s Club baby!
4. Buy the right fuel for your car – If I (or my vehicle) can get away with the cheap stuff. I do.
5. Pay cash – Walk all the way in to the store? Ug. OK.
6. Fill up before a spike – This is my “play the gas market” bit. Haaaa.
