Mutt Monday – Meet Brandy
Our Mutt Monday dog this week is Brandy. Brandy is a 2 1/2 year old, 71 pound hound mix and is available at Pet Pal Animal Shelter in St. Pete. Brandy came to the shelter months ago with a litter of pups. She was not used to people, and just about everything was scary to her, but she was a great mom. After her pups were weaned and adopted, Brandy was still timid and hiding in the corner. You could tell by looking in her beautiful eyes that she is sweet and loving, but she was scared to get too close. Staff members and volunteers spent lots of extra time with her, and eventually Brandy started spending some time in a foster home with Steve Bambace of Calling All Dogs: Dog Walking, Pet Sitting, and Overnights Stays. We are so tankful for his time, patience and love with Brandy.
🐾❤️Thank you Steve.🐾❤️
Finally, in the last few weeks she has made a lot of breakthroughs! She plays ball in the back yard, goes for walks in the neighborhood, and even spends time at the dog park. She loves the outdoors, riding in the car, belly rubs, and cheese. She becomes attached to her humans and would prefer to stay in the same room, following whenever they leave. Brandy plays well with other dogs, and is good with other dogs. She is still timid, and does not like loud noises, but she is making great progress. If you are interested in adopting this special girl, please come meet her at the shelter. She will need an owner with a house and back yard, no small children, and most of all lots of love and patience. We believe that with the right home, she will continue to make progress and become the dog she was meant to be.
