Tampa Lighted Holiday Boat Parade Planned for December
Tampa is proceeding with plans for a lighted boat parade! Such a perfect holiday tradition for Florida!
It is planned for December 19th and it’s a FREE event along Tampa’s Riverwalk. My favorite place to watch this parade is along Channel Drive on Davis Island. Bring a folding chair and get there early to get a good spot – and don’t forget to social distance. Click here to see a map of the parade route and the places from which you can watch the parade.
If you have a boat you’d like to decorate and enter into the parade, click here to register your boat. Boat registration fee is $50 per vessel and registration must be completed by December 11th. There will be a mandatory captain’s meeting held the week of December 13th. There will be trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place vessels in both small and large divisions.
In addition to the lighted boaty parade, you can get into the Christmas Spirit at Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park where you can go ice skating or do some Christmas shopping!
Other events and places to visit in downtown Tampa include: Holiday Island at The Sail Pavilion, Lost Pearl presents A Pirates Christmas, Pirate Water Taxi River of Lights Cruises, Yacht StarShip Holiday Cruises, Sparkman Wharf, and Armature Works.
