Treasure Island Could Soon Extend Drinking Hours
Good news party people! Treasure Island may be extending drinking hours by one more hour.
The Treasure Island City Commission unanimously approved an ordinance Tuesday that would allow alcohol sales until 3 a.m. Currently you can only get booze until 2 a.m.
Almost everywhere else in Pinellas County, people ages 21 and older, can already drink until 3 a.m. Treasure Island bars currently have to close by 2 a.m.
Local law enforcement reported no noticeable increase in crime in other communities that have the later cutoff time.
The city will make a final vote on extending alcohol sales on July 16.
