A Villian Land And A Pixar’s Cars Attraction Among The List Of Disney World Expansion Projects
There are some Disney World expansion projects on the horizon that will delight Disney fans and include a special Villian-themed land in the Magic Kingdom, as well as a Pixar’s “Cars” movie attraction.
The villains project is being heralded as one of the biggest expansion projects Magic Kingdom has ever seen. I love the idea of a “Villains Land.” Currently, you can go get creeped out when you enjoy the Haunted Mansion, but that’s just one ride in a particular land, Liberty Square. But this “Villains Land” will be an entire area devoted to some of the most lecherous villains we’ve met over the years in Disney movies.
I would love to see Cruella DeVille in Villains Land or how about the Evil Queen from “Snow White” or Ursula from “Little Mermaid.” Many fans also are begging for an “Emperor’s New Groove” ride, based on Yzma’s secret lab. The plan reveals that it will be built behind the “Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Disney World Expansion Projects: Pixar’s CARS Ride
The “Cars” ride won’t be identical to what you would find at Disney in California. This Florida version will be more of a thrill ride with an off-roading adventure. Another ride will appeal to families and smaller children. We can expect that this project will start next year.
We’ve seen park attendance decline as of late. These attractions and rides are sure part of a plan to bring even more magic and excitement to the House of the Mouse. Overall, Walt Disney World plans to make a huge investment in new attractions for visitors. They are looking to spend $60 billion dollars, not just at the parks but some of that funding will go to cruise enhancements, as well. Oh and it’s not just Magic Kingdom that will see additions. There will be a new “Zootopia” show at…you guessed it…Animal Kingdom.
