The great folks at Publix have done it again! Another beautiful week in Florida and another great week of the top BOGO deals at Publix.

If you are new to Florida, or you have been living under a rock, your whole life and you do not know what BOGO stands for. Let me enlighten you. POGO stands for BUY ONE GET ONE FREE. So when you buy one item, you get one of the same value absolutely free. Nobody does this better than Publix.

I will admit you do have to be kind of careful, when shopping at Publix, not everything on sale is buy one get one. For example, if something costs $6.99 and it's on sale for two for $10 then that's not buy one get one free, that's buy one at five dollars and get a second one at five dollars.

I have always found that my local public store has a great produce department and a very good bakery but where I feel Publix really stands out is the deli. From the Boar's Head brand meats and cheeses that they have available to their sides and dips. I have long felt that Publix grocery stores have the best deli. In addition to a full hot bar with ready-to-eat food, the single item that public stores are best known for is the public submarine sandwiches. Or affectionately known as Pub Subs!

So in addition to sharing with you every week, my top five Publix sale items, I will also let you know which pub sub is on sale this week. And this week is a great one. The Boar’s Head, foot-long BBQ Chicken Philly is on sale this week! If you haven't had one sub in a while, take it from me who has had dozens of them over the years, Publix makes an excellent sub.

You are in complete control, and can completely customize your sub to include all of your favorite toppings. For only $7.99 this sub is a fantastic idea for lunch or dinner seeing how it is so large you can usually make two meals out of it.

Now onto the BOGO items. By the way, click here to view the entire weekly Publix ad to see all of the other BOGO items and other deals and specials they are having.

Without any further ado, here are my completely subjective top five Publix BOGO items for the second week of April, the sale prices run from April 18th to April 25th, 2024

My Picks For 5 top BOGO deals at Publix this week of April 18th through April 25th, 2024

Hebrew National Hot Dogs

I remember a time when hotdogs were always a cheap meal. Those days are no longer. Of all the hotdog options that are out there, I’ve always felt that Hebrew National were the best of the bunch. And if you can pick him up on BOGO that makes one heckuva deal.

Nestlé Drumstick

Sure, most people think April is in the spring. But here in Florida, we know better. While the Dog days of summer and not yet upon us, it sure is pretty warm out there. Few things are as nostalgic and refreshing on a hot day as a Nestlé Drumstick. The good news is this week they are BOGO.
