2024 Family Movies Lineup Announced At Tampa Theatre
Coming up in March and April to the Tampa Theatre is the ‘family movies’ film series. This is one of many themed series the theatre hosts each year.
This year’s Family Favorites series features kid-friendly classics. Some of these films are childhood favorites of the parents who are bringing their families. Bring the family and enjoy the big screen, the way they these films were intended. Although some of the younger family members may not have ever seen these films, and if they have, likely they were seen on much smaller screens. Thanks to the beautiful Tampa Theatre, the opportunity returns each year to see these sorts of films in an amazing setting.
Tickets for adults are $10, for kids (ages 3-12) tickets are $8 and Tampa Theatre Members’ tickets are just $7.

Sunday, March 24, 3pm: The Incredibles (2004) – PG
Featuring the voices of Craig T. Nelson, Samuel L. Jackson and Holly Hunter, The Incredibles is the Pixar classic about a family that saves the world with their surprisingly unique super powers.
Sunday, March 31, 3pm: Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004) – PG
Jim Carrey, Jude Law and Meryl Streep feature in this film about three orphaned children who come to live with a distant relative. Being that there’s an inheretence involved, the a plot to steal it must be foiled.
Sunday, April 7, 3pm: The Iron Giant (1999) – PG
An animated action/adventure film about a boy who becomes friends with an alien robot from outer space. In brief, it’s up to the boy to protect the alien from government agents. Featuring the voices of Jennifer Aniston, Harry Connick, Jr., Vin Diesel, Cloris Leachman and Christopher McDonald.
Sunday, April 21, 3pm: Hook (1991) – PG
It’s Peter Pan’s story after the classic Peter Pan story. However, Pan has grown up and forgotten who he was. With an amazing cast featuring Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman, Julia Roberts and Phil Collins. Also, keep an eye out for other celebrities in the cast such as David Crosby, Jimmy Buffett, Carrie Fisher, George Lucas and Glenn Close. Look for Glenn among the pirates.
Sunday, April 28, 3pm: The Lego Movie (2014) – PG
Bringing the toys to life, The LEGO Movie is the story of an ordinary Lego man who needs to save the Lego universe. Likewise, this animated film features many familiar voices, including Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, Anthony Daniels, Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman, Keegan-Michael Key, Liam Neeson, Shaquille O’Neal, Nick Offerman, Chris Pratt, Channing Tatum and the cool Billy Dee Williams.

In addition to the Family Favorites movie series, other annual series are shown at Tampa Theatre. This includes: Black Love Classics Series, OSCAR Nominee Showcase, Halloween Movie Series Summer Classics Movie Series and Holiday Classics Series.
