There are 182 cities ranked from worst to best foodie cities. Among them are quite a few cities representing Florida. At #170, Port St. Lucie; at #151, Hialeah; at #118, Pembroke Pines; at #96, Tallahassee; at #67, Jacksonville; at #49, St. Petersburg; and at #27, Fort Lauderdale.
Florida’s Top Three Foodie Cities
Now, for the best-ranked cities from Florida: The lowest was Tampa at #6. Tampa is among those cities tied for the most “Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Shops per Capita’. The city was also #5 in the category of ‘Gourmet Specialty-Food Stores per Capita’.
Coming it at #4, Miami. Miami tied for #1 having the most ‘Restaurants per Capita’. Additionally, Miami is best for ‘Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Shops per Capita’. It is also #1 for “Diversity, Accessibility & Quality.”
Overall, the #1 city in America for foodies is: Orlando. Tied for ‘Restaurants per Capita,’ and ‘Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Shops per Capita,’ Orlando also was #1 for ‘Coffee Shops per Capita’ as well as ‘Gourmet Specialty-Food Stores per Capita’.
Interestingly, these Florida cities’ ranks are not so great when it comes to ‘affordability’. Of the 182 cities on the list, Tampa was the 143rd most affordable. Orlando was the 108th most affordable and Miami was among the least affordable city in Florida at 172 of 182 cities.
