A 21 year old woman in Pasco County has been charged with Aggravated Child Abuse. ABC Action News reports police think she tried to commit suicide by running her car into a pole. She had apparently made statements saying this might be her plan.
Her 2 month old baby was in the vehicle when it hit a pole on James Road in Dade City last night. Luckily, the baby is ok. The mother, Breanna Bechton of Weeki Wachee, says she wasn’t trying to hurt herself or the child. The baby girl is now with the father. Bechton is at Pasco County Jail with bail set at $50,000.
So WHY would she do this? TampaBay.com reports the affidavit says she was trying to “get attention” from her ex-boyfriend.
