Live PD Cop Charged With DUI
September 18 Update:
Original story:
A Pasco County deputy we’ve seen on Live PD has been charged with driving under the influence.
The arrest happened on Saturday. But Live PD is on break so none of this aired on A&E live. However, often times cameras follow the officers on duty to record material to air during the live show when there’s downtime. Since it’s was New Port Richey cops on the scene, it’s unlikely the TV show was on site.
26 year old Pasco County Deputy Steven Walker crashed his vehicle into a car that was parked, according to Bay News 9. New Port Richey cops made the arrest.
Just last week, Walker was featured as a guest on the local Channel 8 TV show “Daytime” to talk about his life since Live PD began filming in Pasco County.
Walker spent 6 years on the job. Above is a clip of him on duty. I believe he’s the one speaking at 2:44 in.
One of our Facebook friends, Rebekah, put it best. We all make mistakes: “At the end of the Day were all Human mistakes and choices made we learn and move on sad part is this is his career but could of been his or someone else’s life lost hopefully their is a Opportunity for this Young man to have a good career and maybe resources rehab whatever and move on in a better Direction even though its a crime he deserves a second chance everyone does, love, lift educate and be kind to each other our world needs a lot of love and Jesus Bless his journey.”
I was just reading through his tweets from the past couple weeks. Seems like a good guy. We all make mistakes. He's @corporal_walker if you want to follow or offer support. #livepd #livepdpasco
