2 Clearwater Restaurants Get The Most Violations On This Week’s Health Inspection Report
Oh of course. Two restaurants that are less than 5 minutes away from my place topped the list having the most violations in this week’s report. I haven’t been to either of them. I’m not a big fan of Indian cuisine. But people on Yelp LOVE DeccanSpice on Ulmerton. It’s got 4-1/2 out of 5 stars. It’s probably Feather Sound’s most popular dining spot. One reviewer said it’s among the best two or three Indian restaurants in Tampa Bay. But inspectors found 40 violations according to Channel 8. They say raw chicken was being stored right over vegetables and cheese that were both ready to eat. Cutting boards, a cooler, can opener and microwave were all said to not be clean. [Full report]
Inspectors didn’t have to go far to find a restaurant with almost as many problems. In the same building, Los Mexicanos had 36 violations, including food storage temperature issues. And they say tomatoes were being cut on the same surface as RAW chicken! [Full report]

- Grand Sushi Hibachi Buffet in Port Richey (29 violations)
