Here’s What You Need To Do BEFORE You Bring Home A Christmas Tree
The countdown to Christmas has officially begun.
With Thanksgiving behind us, families across the country will venture out today in search of the perfect Chrismas tree.
While seeking the perfect tree, everyone should carefully inspect a tree before purchasing it and bringing it into your home.
Unfortunately, there’s a good chance the tree of your dreams may come with some unwanted guests — Bugs!
According to WIS12, your Christmas tree could be home to an estimated twenty-five thousand bugs. Yikes!
Here are some precautions to take during your tree shopping excursion:
- Bring a flashlight with you and thoroughly examine the tree before purchasing. If you see a lot of bugs crawling around the tree, move on to the next tree until you find one that has the least amount of bugs as possible.
- Next, give the tree a shake or two (or three) after you have purchased it.
- After you bring the tree home, let it hang out in the garage for a day or so. Hopefully, the bugs will leave the tree and find their way outside before they make a new home in your warm house.
