Our Mutt Monday Dog Cake Is Sweet Just Like Cake

Our Mutt Monday dog this week is Cake. Cake is a precious girl with a personality as sweet as her name. She loves to give kisses and say hi to everyone she meets! One of her favorite activities is running outside with her playmate Gypsy, but she can’t wait to find her forever home and have her own yard to play in! Cake is a 36 pound, 8 month old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix.

Every Monday we highlight a dog that is available for adoption at Pet Pal Animal Shelter. Our Mutt Monday dog is Cake this week and she is available at Pet Pal Animal Shelter in St. Pete.

Pet Pal's Mission Statement is, "Our mission is to rescue dogs and cats from shelters that may otherwise be euthanized due to time limitations, illness, injuries or lack of socialization and training. We are dedicated to educating the public about the pet overpopulation crisis, the importance of spaying/neutering, and responsible pet ownership."

Finally, Pet Pal is open from Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. They are closed on Sunday and Monday. Pet Pal is located at 405 22nd Street South in St. Pete. They also have a thrift store that supports the efforts of the shelter.

When you go to a shelter to look for an animal, seeing all the dogs will be emotional. Getting an animal is a huge life decision but it is also a gratifying one as well.

Florida heat can keep the unprepared from enjoying Walt Disney World during the summer. Here are some tips on how you can still have a magical time. 

Summer is approaching! However, even though we're not quite there yet, the Florida heat (and humidity) is already appearing. If you want to enjoy Florida's outdoor entertainment, you need to be prepared. This certainly holds true with central Florida theme parks. 

If you're new to Florida, visiting from out of state, or simply aren't a big fan of the Florida heat, there are ways to prepare yourself and plan for the conditions. 

So, head to Disney, make use of the indoor spaces when it starts getting warmer, or that's when to head to do some shopping, go grab a meal indoors, or take the opportunity to do some resort hopping to explore more of what Walt Disney World Resort has to offer.
